New Nursery Parents
Firstly, thank you for choosing South Camberley Primary & Nursery School. We are a thriving school community and we look forward to your child starting with us in September and getting to know each and every one of them!
Please note that our wraparound care is provided by CASA Clubs and they are not able to provide breakfast or after school care for Nursery children.
We are committed to providing a smooth transition into Nursery that allows each child to settle in, get to know their teachers and make new friends. We believe parents and carers play a key role in this transition so you too can feel reassured that your children are safe and happy.
During this time of uncertainty, the natural worries about starting Nursery may feel exacerbated. As we don’t know how long Nursery closures will last, it is difficult for us to publish details of our usual transition programme. However, please be reassured that we are thinking of creative ways in which to prepare your child and give them the best possible start to Nursery.
Before your child starts Nursery, we will attempt to contact pre-school settings, as we would usually do, to learn more about your child in an educational setting. Our Nursery teachers will also be contacting you, to find out about your child and hopefully answer any questions you may have about school.
We will be in touch shortly to inform you of our plans, but we also have to be prepared for plans to change, should new guidance from the Government be released. Please keep an eye on our Twitter feed https://twitter.com/SouthCamPrimary and also our website www.southcamberley.surrey.sch.uk, where the ‘Prospective Parents’ page will be updated shortly with all transition arrangements.
We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to South Camberley in the coming months.
