Inclusion
At South Camberley, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported so they can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Our school celebrates diversity and is committed to ensuring that all pupils—regardless of background, ability, or need—can access a rich, meaningful education.
We work closely with children, families, and specialist services to provide tailored support where it’s needed. From differentiated classroom teaching to targeted interventions and wellbeing initiatives, we strive to make sure every child feels seen, heard, and empowered.
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion and mental health, we recently hosted a Parent Coffee Morning focused on “Managing Big Emotions” with the Mental Health Team.
This friendly and informative session gave parents and carers a chance to learn about how we support emotional regulation in school and how these strategies can be continued at home.
The session explored:
-
What "big emotions" look like in children
-
Practical calming strategies used in school
-
How to create a consistent approach between home and school
-
Opportunities to ask questions and share experiences in a supportive space
We were delighted to see so many parents attend and take part in the conversation. Events like these strengthen our home–school partnership and help ensure that every child feels supported in all aspects of their development.
