Year 6 Residential - Day 3
What a difference a day makes! The majority of pupils sound asleep when staff came round at 7.30am this morning to make sure they were ready for breakfast! A quick dash to wash and dress before heading down for food at 8am.
All groups headed to Swanage beach today for kayaking, raft building as well as paddle and jumbo paddle boarding. That did mean getting everyone back into wetsuits however! This went far smoother than yesterday (thankfully!) and we were ready to begin our activities for the day.
We have been so fortunate with the weather, as you will have seen in the pictures, with pupils and staff enjoying their activities and time spent down on the beach and in the refreshing sea.
Following another feast at dinner and wanting to maximise the weather and beach opportunities, we headed back into Swanage for mini Olympics along the sea front with some free swimming interspersed (although without wetsuits some of the children were less keen on pending as much time in the water!)
We are quietly confident that we will again be waking pupils up in the morning to make sure they arrive to breakfast on time having completed all of their activities today.
The children are having a great time and we hope that many memories are being created that will stay with them for a number of years.
Another action-packed day to look forward to tomorrow, and our final full day of activities, culminating in the highly anticipated final night disco!
Photos taken from each day are being uploaded to our Photo Gallery section of the website.
